North Yorkshire is stunning. The features of the coast from Staithes to Whitby is one of slowly crumbling cliffs, small coves and fishing villages sheltering from the North Sea. The North York Moors are much less known than the Dales, yet hardly less dramatic. We are lucky to live so close to another gem in England's landscape crown. However, going there gives us an excuse to stay locally and search out the best spots to view the unusual Rosebery Topping, small market towns, the coastline or the empty moors above.
